UPCOMING: 2024 Practicum on Additive Manufacturing of Metallic Materials

Workforce Development, Education, and Outreach

While CIMP-3D is at the forefront of advanced design, process, and materials research, we also seek to further the use and application of AM technology in industry.
To achieve this, we engage in a range of workforce development, education, and outreach activities at the Center and beyond. In this way, we hope to prepare both the current and future engineering workforces.

Opportunities for Students

and Graduate Research

Seeking to inspire change and impact tomorrow, research is an essential piece of Penn State’s educational mission. CIMP-3D mirrors this mission and actively recruits a range of both undergraduate and graduate students to participate in its research efforts.

With over 30 student alumni, the Center is always engaging students through summer internships, part-time employment, and thesis research.
